Position: Project Coordinator
Department: OPERATIONS/Project Management
Reports to: Operations Director – Wyatt Sargent
PROJECT COORDINATOR
Rooftop Anchor, Inc. (RTA) of Heber City, UT, is seeking to hire a full-time Project Manager (PM).
At RTA, we find solutions to keep people that work at heights safe. We are a full-service partner that designs, engineers, manufactures, installs, and certifies comprehensive fall protection systems. After a system is sold, the Project Manager is responsible for coordinating between RTA’s departments (engineering, fabrication, installation, etc.) and the customer to set and manage the job’s expectations and deadlines. The PM coordinates and processes change orders, manages budgetary concerns, and forecasts timelines. The PM works closely with the Project Coordinator, who manages the day-to-day elements of the job. A job is successfully completed when everything from fabrication of the product to the final inspection after installation goes smoothly and finishes within the budget.
Since a large portion of this position requires coordinating with others whether in-person, by phone, or by email, good verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The PM also needs great people skills and be able to build relationships while knowing how to push a job. Due to the nature of the work, a PM needs to be organized to keep track of all the moving pieces going on at one time and work well with lots of interruptions throughout the day. As well, the PM is a self-starter, knowing how to manage their own time and work. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize will help ensure the accuracy needed to do the job well and meet deadlines. And finally, the PM is flexible, able to adapt to the changes that are inevitable in managing a job, as well as open to learning new ways to do things.
The ideal candidate for our Project Manager role has construction knowledge and is able to read blueprints. The candidate needs to know how to use Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel and Word. Prior experience with a customer management system such as Salesforce is a big plus.
At RTA we take our jobs seriously, however, we find we work better when we have fun together. It’s not unusual for us to take a break and play a round of darts or cornhole. We find humor in the little things. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits including health insurance with a health savings account (HSA), dental and vision insurances, paid holidays, paid time off (PTO), a simple IRA with employer match and immediate vesting, employer-paid long-term disability and life insurances, and quarterly profit sharing. If this sounds like the right opportunity, we’d love to meet you!
