ENGINEER

 

Rooftop Anchor, Inc. (RTA) of Heber City, UT, is seeking to hire a full-time Engineer that is passionate about discovering a solution for any problem and wakes up in the middle of the night with ideas of how to improve a process. We need you to ask questions and take risks to create systems that not only meet regulatory codes but raises the bar of excellence, all while meeting the specification and needs of our clients. This is no small feat! All this requires collaboration and communication with your team, project managers, fabricators, and customers. Did I mention the need to communicate?

 

We need a licensed Engineer that is a wizard in AutoCAD and other design programs and can write and edit advanced formulas in Excel in your sleep. Ideally, you’ll have a couple years of experience working with structural design.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

 

MIRO Industries and Rooftop Anchor, sister companies in Heber City, UT, are seeking to hire a part-time Administrative Assistant to work in our HR Department. Each day in the HR Department brings something new and an opportunity to use different skills, whether it is using your knowledge of benefits or employment laws to educate an employee, running reports to track a performance metric or perform an employee audit, or using interpersonal skills to help an employee through a difficult situation. If you enjoy helping people one-on-one and finding solutions to problems, this could be the position for you.

As the HR Administrative Assistant, you will work closely with our HR Director. While prior experience working in HR or payroll is a plus, it is not needed, and all required training can be provided on the job. You just need to be excited to learn! A major responsibility of this role is to help employees understand the company’s policies and benefits packages, so it is critical to have good communication skills, both oral and written. HR requires a lot of record keeping, tracking, and regulatory compliance, so organization and attention to detail is very important. There is also a lot of work done on the computer, and the more comfortable you are using Microsoft Office products, the better—especially Word (do you know how to do Mail Merge?) and Excel (understanding how to do basic formulas is a plus). We use a cloud-based program to track personnel information, record time, and run payroll. You need to be comfortable using the program, eventually becoming an expert, so you can help employees and managers better use the system and help the HR Director utilize the full power of the program. It is helpful if you get a little bit excited running reports and looking at data. You will also be exposed to personal and sensitive information, so emotional maturity and the ability to keep information confidential is vital, both for the safety of the employee and your own mental well-being.

This is a part time position, working in our Heber City office approximately 4 hours a day, Monday – Friday. The timing of the work shift is flexible but should be worked sometime between 7 am and 4 pm.
