- Do my existing anchors comply with current standards?
OSHA STANDARD 1926.500, SUBPART M (FALL PROTECTION)
- Anchorages used for attachment of personal fall arrest equipment shall be independent of any anchorage being used or suspend platforms and capable of supporting at least 5,000 pounds (22.2 kN) per employee attached, or shall be designed, installed, and used as follows:
- Be rigged such that an employee can neither free fall more than 6 feet (1.8 m), nor contact any lower level.
ANSI/IWCA I-14.1 STANDARD
- I-14 Standard, roof safety anchors must: be easily identifiable; provide adequate fall protection; be in the proper location for the suspended worker; be able to support 5000 lbs and; be used correctly.
- Anchors need to be “certified” by a licensed professional engineer that shows the anchors are properly located, that they meet load requirements, and how they are to be used.

- Are rooftop anchors limited to new construction or can they be retrofitted to existing buildings?
- Whether your commercial building project is new construction or existing structure retro-fit, Rooftop Anchor, Inc. offers a complete line of rooftop fall protection products and services to make your building code compliant in providing rooftop safety for window cleaners, roofing contractors and other rooftop maintenance workers.
- Do you offer design service?
- Yes, we offer a free design service with a few limitations. Depending upon the location of the job site, there may be some charge depending on travel situations. We also require a number of drawings and building plans in order to be able to retrofit an existing building with an anchor system.
- Do you offer product installation service?
- Yes, Rooftop Anchor does offer product installation service. Our certified installers guarantee to install the product to meet industry standards and codes.
- What is the warranty on your products?
- All Rooftop Anchor products will be covered by a one (1) year limited warranty. However, when installed by a certified Rooftop Anchor Installer using only Rooftop Anchor specified materials and with a documented yearly inspection from Rooftop Anchor, Rooftop Anchor will warrantee its support systems for five years from the date of installation to operate properly and against damaging the roof membrane. Any substitution or use of other materials, other than Rooftop Anchor products, will void the warranty. After the fifth year, the product warranty may be renewed each year with an annual inspection from Rooftop Anchor.
